Advance booking for the party at Mount Klotz starts in four weeks' time
Advance sales start in four weeks - Christmas is two months away and in nine months DAS FEST Karlsruhe will kick off its 40th edition. From 24 to 27 July 2025, Mount Klotz will shake again and the Günther-Klotz-Anlage will be transformed into a large festival city where everyone is welcome and the whole of Karlsruhe and its guests can celebrate in style. If it weren't for one small fly in the ointment: DAS FEST 2024 only just got away with a black eye despite actually having the best framework conditions. The cost increases in many areas are draining.
Ticket price to increase moderately by 5 euros in 2025
In this respect, the organisers, Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH (KME), have no choice but to increase the price of a ticket for the hill area by a moderate 5 euros - combined with the commitment that 70% of the programme will remain free of charge. ‘We would actually have to raise the price by significantly more,’ says Martin Wacker, KME Managing Director. ‘But we're sticking to a small price increase and want to remain a non-commercial Gallic village in the festival world.’
A bitter balance sheet shows that this is not easy in the current environment. Around 70 European festivals did not survive last year.
‘Better instead of bigger is the motto. DAS FEST definitely doesn't want to cut back on security and infrastructure,’ adds project manager Markus Wiersch. Almost half of the 22.70 euros that a day ticket including fees will now cost will go towards these items. Stages, technology and the programme only account for just under a quarter of the costs. For the entire Günther-Klotz complex, including DAS FEST AM SEE, the field stage and the culture stage, mind you.
The price will be raised by five euros, so that a day ticket including fees will then cost 22.70 euros. There will be no additional booking fees. The festival ticket for all four days of DAS FEST will cost 85 euros, which is also the final price for the DAS FEST fan. The ‘Classic Ticket’ will be reintroduced. Including all fees, this will cost 17.20 euros and is only valid for Sunday morning. Holders of the ‘Karlsruher Pass’ will continue to receive the day ticket for the social price of 5 euros.
DAS FEST tickets will go on sale on 25 November - parallel to the opening of the ‘Christmas City Karlsruhe’ - exclusively via Eventim and at all Eventim advance booking offices, including Schaufenster Karlsruhe on Marktplatz.
