Bleak Monday

Inspired by the sound aesthetics of 1980s wave music and the metal genres of the 1990s and early 2000s, the Karlsruhe-based trio, which was only founded in 2022, presents a mix of danceable synthwave, hard industrial sounds and haunting, bitter-tasting lyrics. Machine sounds from drum computers and analogue synths create a dark, dystopian atmosphere with the excessive use of vocal and guitar effects. Energy and trance, a certain erotic charge and the impression of ecstatic despair characterise Bleak Monday's convincing stage presence, which has quickly earned the trio a lot of attention and joint appearances with artists such as Das Kinn, Berlin 2.0, Living Gate and The Body over the past two years.
