At the New Bands Festival 2024, they took what they could get. Top with the jury and top with the audience doesn't actually happen that often. But with their mix of psychedelic rock, pop, reggae and hip-hop, the five musicians from Karlsruhe create a sound that is sometimes dreamy and sometimes fragile, provocatively balancing between hope and the abyss, and which simply carries over. Euphoria and melancholy seem contradictory, but Civi Blue create a sound that loses itself precisely in this in-between space and comes across as longing as it can be resolutely edgy. The five have been on the road together since 2023 and have won over audiences with their likeable style, from small festivals to the relevant cultural venues in their area. Always ready for action, always ready for fun, always ready to have a good time. Civi Blue combine surfy lightness with urban dirt under one musical roof.
