Few bands have etched themselves as deeply into the history of DAS FEST in the Günther-Klotz-Anlage as the British music collective with their performances on the hill in 1998 and 2004. With their hits, led by the indestructible ‘Insomnia’ and ‘God is a DJ’, the band around the mastermind Rollo and the two front stars Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss reconciled techno with pop and sophisticated songwriting that reached a wide audience. 2010 saw the release of ‘The Dance’, their sixth studio album. In 2011, the band announced their break-up after the final concert at the Brixton O2 Arena was broadcast live around the world. They reunited in 2015. In 2020, the band released the album ‘All Blessed’, which was recorded without frontman Maxi Jazz, who had fallen ill. For eight years, the band had not given any live concerts, which were hardly conceivable without the charismatic Maxi Jazz. But a year and a half after Maxi Jazz's death at the age of 65, the remaining band announced their stage comeback and new music in 2024. In the spirit of Maxi Jazz, Faithless is back, now also at DAS FEST in 2025.
