High Desert Queen

Founded in 2019 by Ryan Garney and guitarist Rusty Miller, the Texan quartet quickly made a name for themselves with their ‘Texas Desert Rock’ stoner music, but were initially slowed down by coronavirus. However, the band's latest album ‘Palm Reader’ is now the band's second longplayer, which impresses with its warm but hard sound, big choruses and beautiful guitar solos. ‘We all have a wide range of musical influences and backgrounds, and we're all about writing songs that we'd like to hear,’ says Garney about his band, which, in addition to the relevant stoner influences from grunge to metal to doom, also reveals a rather surprising inclination towards Tom Waits or the Allman Brothers.
