For a quarter of a century, the Munich band has been known as the unsinkable reggae eight and has thousands of live shows under its belt on the stages of Europe, Africa and South America. Jamaram has also repeatedly docked in Karlsruhe and thrilled audiences. The band stands for peace, cosmopolitanism and respect, against war, intolerance and isolation. Without borders and walls, Jamaram practise colourful diversity and joie de vivre, in real life as well as in their music. This can be heard on the current release ‘Morning’. The nine tracks, which are available on vinyl, were created together with long-term homie and reggae veteran Jahcoustix and deal with isolation caused by social media, propaganda and shouting while at the same time engaging in abbreviated but highly emotionalised discourse, leaving the beaten track and the fact that it is always worth fighting for something you stand behind. The message remains positive, in the end it's about treating the planet and each other well as people, on a small and large scale. Their live show offers bass-heavy modern roots, dubwise, afrobeat, hip-hop and urban grooves that really get you moving.
