Schmutzki

Three and a half chords and off they go. You shouldn't and shouldn't expect more from a band that, by their own admission, like it simple and dirty. Schmutzki's recipe is simple but effective: a few sharp-edged riffs, dirty, stapled rhythms and a set of snotty vocal chords that fire the compelling hooklines through the speakers like grappling hooks. The Stuttgart-based post-punk trio have been around since 2011 and have played many important festivals since then, sometimes rocking out in front of 70,000 people. For their latest album, the three have lovingly scraped 30 lost songs from 12 years of rumbling from the floor. The album title is "Schmutz de la Schmutz" and the current concerts also follow this motto.
